Posted: 14/4/2009, 17:08

Dear Exporter,

Kenilworth Quarantine Stationís (KQS) April 2009 shipment departed Cape Town International on Monday, 6 April. Loading took place under the supervision of Racing South Africa and the 21 horses exported travelled comfortably under the professional care of flying grooms Dr Koos Neuland (also KQSís Quarantine Master), Malan du Toit and Kevin Simmons (Peden Bloodstock) to arrival in Luxembourg International Airport the following day.

As part of Racing South Africaís objective of reducing the cost of delivery from South Africa, the per-horse freight cost (from KQS to arrival Luxembourg) amounted to less than US$9000.00, the lowest achieved for some time.

The following dates are proposed for the June 2009 shipment from Kenilworth Quarantine Station:

Start Free Zone Residency (20 days):              23 April 2009

Start Pre-export Quarantine (40days):            13 May 2009

Departure for EU:                                           from Monday 22 June 2009
