Lifting of movement restrictions
Posted: 13/6/2008, 19:23
Dear colleagues,
The latest reported outbreaks of AHS in the Randfontein and Germiston SV areas were during early April and early May respectively. The last outbreak in the Pretoria SV area was on the 6th of June 2006 on the farm Kameelfontein in the Cullinan area. The ban on movements of horses from the Germiston and Randfontein SV areas to the Western Cape are therefore lifted from today. It is however still in place for horses from the Pretoria SV Area.
Horses from Gemiston and Randfontein must comply with all the normal requirements (Passport, AHS vaccination, health certificate, no outbreak in a 30 km radius within the last 60 days, pre-note to relevant SV in WC) before a movement permit can be issued.
Thank you
